    If you go to http://townofhope.org/communityevents/

Then click on “Find Events” and watch what happens…. The widget is replaced with another widget and the working widget is pushed down the page. If you then click on the month to increment it, for each time you do it adds another widget to the bottom….

Any clues on how to prevent?

Good evening Tom and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us. We are sorry to hear about your odd widget behaviour
We will gladly try to assist you on this topic.

After a quick analysis of your situation and from the system information you kindly provided, it looks like there is a conflict at play here.

But first and foremost, I am noticing that the Pro version of your plugin would need the latest version (4.05) 🙂

Without thorough testing the main culprit looks like Event Rocket which is, unfortunately, no longer supported since version 4.0 of our plugins.

But just to be on the safe side, I would recommend to please go through our testing for conflicts procedure (preferably in a staging/dev environment or local install of your WordPress website) and let us know what you find out.

Basically the goal here is to revert back to a bare WordPress installation to see if the problem persists. It also allows us to pinpoint what the cause of the issue is.

    Have a good week-end,

    Geoff B.

I removed all/any extra plugins – issue persist. I tried to test it by switching back themes but this proved to be invalid because the widgets, etc were functioning properly in the stock theme to be able to test this issue.

I also updated to the latest TEC versions.

    What would you suggest next?

    Good afternoon Tom,

Thank you for testing things out.
Just out of curiosity, did you try deactivating event rocket altogether ?

I tried to test it by switching back themes but this proved to be invalid because the widgets, etc were functioning properly in the stock theme to be able to test this issue.

I am not sure what you mean by that. Just to clarify, there can be a conflict with the theme. I don’t know if you knew this, but Genesis specifically does not always play nice with other plugins.

So if I understand this correctly, when you revert back to a default WordPress theme, the bug goes away ?

The other possibility is that there are some template customizations in your Genesis theme.
Could you tell me if there is a tribe-events folder in the Genesis theme’s folder ?

    Have a great day!
