ParticipantI have just updated from free version to pro and have some issues:
- The layout of the newly added Week view is not working correctly.
- The map view is not working correctly. The location of the event is in California, but the map shows an Africa map and says no event found.
Another thing, on the view switcher, there is no icon for “List” while other views have icons associate with them. This causes confusion some time. How do I add an icon to the List view?

ParticipantSorry, my post title is not correct.
I only have problem with the week view. The day view is fine.

ParticipantHey Samuel,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
It looks like your site is using a theme which has some customizations added to modify the layout and display of some of our templates. Do your issues mentioned above persist if you switch to a default WordPress theme?
The best thing to do would be to check with the theme developer to see if they’re aware of these issues or if they’ve already provided an updated version of the theme which resolves these incompatibilities.
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!

ParticipantHi Josh,
I tried all default WordPress themes (2013, 2014, and 2015) and the issues persist. If you go to my week view:
http://hoc5.net/hoc5org/events/week/The problems are:
1. There are no vertical divider between days
2. All events appear on Monday even when they are scheduled on other daysAnother thing is in Map View, it shows an Africa map although the events are all located in California.
Here’s what the theme author said:
“Event week section is coming from ajax script and controlled by plugin functions so we can’t do anything in this area. You can ask plugin author for more details.”Any suggestions?

ParticipantHey Sam,
Thanks for following up with us.
Have you tried following the complete Testing for Conflicts procedures. This would include deactivating all plugins and switching to a default WordPress theme to ensure there isn’t a conflict with other code executed on the site.
I’m still unable to replicate these issues on my local install and looking at the site, the majority of the views have customizations that aren’t being managed by our plugin.
Let me know if the issues persist after following the procedures above. If so, let me know and I can check out the site with the default setup.
Thanks!

ParticipantJosh,
The theme author from [ThemeForest] said “Event week section is coming from ajax script and controlled by plugin functions so we can’t do anything in this area.”
Since I have tried all default WordPress themes (2013, 2014, and 2015) and the issues persist, I think I’m going to give up using the Event Calendar and find another plug-in for the events.
Can I get a refund for the Pro version I paid?
Thanks,

ParticipantHey Sam,
I apologize for the inconvenience and I definitely understand the frustration when there are conflicts such as these which cause plugins or themes not to work as expected. We’re sorry to lose you as a customer.
Unfortunately I’m unable to replicate the issues you’ve described on my local install and if we are unable to replicate an issue, we are unable to resolve the issue or prevent it from being an issue for our clients.
WordPress is a great platform, but with the ability to add code from many different plugins and themes, there is always the potential that there will be conflicts and things will break. It is inevitable. However, we do our best to ensure that our plugins follow WordPress coding standards and best practices in order to limit these potential conflicts as much as possible.
When issues do arise, we do like to try and figure out why the conflict is happening. In these cases, if there is something that we’re doing that goes against WordPress best practices that is causing the issue, we’re more than happy to look into modifying our approach to resolve the conflict.
Again I apologize for the inconvenience but I’m glad you were able to find a solution that works for you on your current setup.
Thanks!
