GuestHi.
Looking at this thread :Upgrade to 4.4 and new recurring rules messing up events in the calendar
I confirm that this issue was still existing in the-events-calendar-4.4.0.1/events-calendar-pro-4.4.
It is not possible to update to 4.4+ from the-events-calendar-4.3.4.2/events-calendar-pro-4.3.3 without breaking all existing recurrent events : all the single dates defined in a recurrent event are lost when the event is just edited.
I’m waiting for a couple of weeks the confirmation that a fix has been published to buy the solution for a customer website.

MemberHi Franck,
Thanks for getting in touch and following up on this. I am super sorry to report that the issue of recurrence rules getting lost when updating from pre-4.4 to newer versions has not been resolved.
We are indeed working on it. I checked the ticket in our system and see it was recently updated. The ticket notes that the fix will require a significant level of work that is currently in progress and that we are also trying to find the right release to include it in.
I’m sorry I do not have more information beyond that, but I have made a note of this thread in the ticket so that we can follow up with you directly when a fix is on the way.
Thanks so much for your patience as we continue to dig into this. I realize this is a huge inconvenience and an awful thing to impact such a key feature, like recurring events. We’ll be sure to keep you posted.
Thanks,
GeoffApril 17, 2017 at 8:20 am #1270691Franck

GuestHi Geoff.
Unfortunately, We could not wait more time for a fix so we gave up with the idea to use recurrent events.
Best regards.

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
