ParticipantHello,
I’m trying to do a list view of calendar events for two categories. However, after clicking “View More…” on the bottom of the list, it takes me to ALL of my events. I need this “View More..” button to redirect me to the specified categories. I see the option to change this link within the settings, but I will need the link to be different for each calendar I create. We have a TON of categories. Is there a way to customize the “View More..” link?
We are working to implement this calendar to replace the one that’s currently on the site.

KeymasterHi Shelley,
Thanks so much for reaching out!
As a first troubleshooting step, would you mind updating all of your Events Calendar related plugins, so that we can ensure that all of the current functionality is available to you?
After doing so, if you are still seeing this issue, can you provide me with a link to an example of this issue in action?
Let me know if you have any other questions in the meantime!
Thanks,
Jaime

ParticipantI will see if we can get it updated over the weekend. We have a process to update plugins so as not to do this during hours that our community may need access to the site.
However, I’m sure this issue is not stemming from that. If you go to this page:
https://cfbisd.edu/test-calendar-blair-view/
I’ve configured this page with the shortcode:
[tribe_events_list category=”blair-elementary, elementary-group”]It shows 10 events and the link on the bottom for “View More…” takes me to all of my events. Instead, I’d like the events from category “blair-elementary” and “elementary-group” to be listed here.

KeymasterHi Shelley,
Thanks for providing me with that information. When I use that shortocde, and View More, I am taken to a view (in my case, Month View) that contains all of my events, within that category.
It sounds like you are seeing all of your events, regardless of category. Is that correct?
If so, I would again encourage you to update your plugins to ensure that the plugin functionality is working as it should.
Let me know!
Thanks,
Jaime

ParticipantI’ve updated the plugin and still am seeing all of my events instead of the events by the category specified within my short code.

KeymasterHi Shelley,
So far, I’m still not able to replicate the issue that you are describing. Can you try using one category at a time and see if that gives you the functionality that you’re looking for.
In the meantime, can you provide me with your updated system information in a private reply?

Let me know how that goes!
Thanks,
Jaime

ParticipantI just tried limiting the shortcode to one category. It works with one category. When I click “Read More..” it takes me to https://cfbisd.edu/eventscalendar/category/elementary-schools/blair-elementary/ which would be the correct category.
However, when I have two categories, it takes me to https://cfbisd.edu/eventscalendar/ which would be why I’m seeing all of the events. Is there no way to redirect to a listing of two or more categories?

ParticipantI’ve also shared my system information with you.

KeymasterHi Shelley,
Okay, so I can confirm that everything is working as expected on your site, as this issue only occurs with multiple categories.
One solution for this would be to make one category a parent category and another category a child category of that parent. In the shortcode, just put the parent category and you will see all of the events for both categories.
You can also add this idea to our Feature Requests, as we tend to implement ideas based on customer feedback, so your input is greatly appreciated:

Let me know if you have any other questions on this topic!
Thanks,
