ParticipantI’ve got an iCal feed set up from explorealex.com/events/ical that is importing daily. The information for each venue is complete from this source but the venues keep importing with the address as the name for alexmncalendar.com. Any suggestions? Thanks!

MemberHi again, Rachel.
I tried importing the first event from http://explorealex.com/events/ical and it worked as expected, not with the Venue name like you specified.
Please follow our Testing for Conflicts Guide and see if that helps narrow down the cause of this.
If you don’t figure out the issue after following that Guide, please provide screen shots or a video recording of what you’re experiencing.
Thanks.

ParticipantCliff,
I disabled all the plugins except The Events Calendar and The Events Calendar Pro on ExploreAlex.com with the same result. Check out the screenshot: http://imgur.com/utpayE8

MemberRachel, what is the screenshot supposed to communicate to me? I don’t see anything obviously wrong with what I see there (other than I can see that you have an Analytics plugin and an SEO plugin still active — not that that’s “wrong”)…
Looking forward to hearing back so I can try to help further…

ParticipantCliff, I tried it again with all the plugins deactivated on both explorealex.com and alexmncalendar.com with the same result. The only active plugins were The Events Calendar and iCal Importer. Both themes were on Twenty Fifteen.

When you test out the importer, are the venues coming through with the proper name or are you seeing the same thing?
Thanks for taking a look!

MemberI understand that you don’t want the Venue Name (post title) to be the address, but this is the way it works.
Here’s your actual iCal file’s contents: http://cl.ly/3Y1H2i1n3U1H
Notice the “Location:” part that I highlighted in that screenshot… There is no Venue Name like “Art Bar 39” in the Location field of an iCal file (not specific to our plugins).
The Venue part of iCal importing does require some manual effort post-import for things like this.
