venue preselection not working

    Hello,

    On my install when creating an event on the frontend, the venue which is defined as standard venue is not being displayed. Instead, it says “Erstelle neue Veranstaltung” (german for “create new event”). Can you help me to fix this?

    Sorry to hear about these issues!

    1. First, how specifically have you enabled the German translation on your site? Are you using WPML, for example?

    3. When did this issue arise? Has it been this way since Day One, or has it only recently appeared on your site?

    Dear Scott,

    please find my answers in the same order:
    1) I am not using WPML. I dont use any translation plugin, I think.. Scrolling through my plugins list, i only find this one: “BuddyPress Multilingual”

    2) Sys info: I will send in a private reply.

    3) Just recently.

    If you deactivate that Multilingual plugin temporarily, does anything improve with regards to this issue?

    If not, then what about if you proceed with the rest of the steps in this guide → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/testing-for-conflicts/?

    I’m sorry to recommend these steps! 🙁 Unfortunately, I cannot produce this specific behavior and I notice many, many plugins on your site, so it’s possible there’s a code conflict here – a code conflict could be happening in numerous places on the site.

    Let me know if you can do those steps, and if so what you find.
