ParticipantOur venue field is not displaying on our site (see here).
Inside the WP Backend there are two picklist fields for venue instead of one. It does not matter which one you populate — the venue doesn’t “stick.”

KeymasterHi there,
Thanks for emailing support and sorry you are seeing duplicates. Can you try Events -> Settings -> General and click “Merge Duplicates” Let me know if that solves the issue.
Thanks,

ParticipantThat did not resolve the issue. It did identify 2 duplicate venues and events, which were merged.

KeymasterHi there,
I see, have you imported any events or venues into the site or did you create them from scratch?
Thanks,

ParticipantBrendan,
Please review the image in the initial request — this is not an issue with duplicate venues or events. The issues are as follows:
-
When *editing* an event in WordPress, the UI is displaying the same fields multiple times.
When *viewing* an event on our website, the Venue is not displaying, despite information entered in the venue field. So, one backend problem and one front end problem.
David
PS — All venues and events were created without importing.

KeymasterHi David,
Sounds like there is a conflict then. To get you started on troubleshooting: First, please make sure you are using the most current versions of all of our plugins. You can also try reinstalling them by following these instructions. If that doesn’t help, the next step in troubleshooting this is going to be testing for conflicts with your theme and other plugins (with WP_DEBUG enabled). If you need a testing environment, the free WP Staging plugin will let you create a quick copy of your live site that you can use for testing.
Let me know what you find.
Thanks,

KeymasterHi David,
One other thing, when you create new events, do you use the duplicate page plugin on your site or are you creating them as brand new events?
Thanks,

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
