ParticipantHi there,
I’m getting some errors on maps view and with venues. I’m putting them together since I supect they are related. For the maps view, not all of my venues are appearing. Here is an example of the map view (showing 1 venue) and the photo view (showing the 2 venues). http://imgur.com/a/Xienh
In another category, the results in the photo view show todays events (which were entered last week) while the map view shows events a few days from today (which were entered a while ago). http://imgur.com/a/kI5cCAdditionally when I add or update a venue, I receive this message:
The latitude and longitude for your venue could not be fetched. The Google Maps API daily query limit has been reached!I saw another TEC user with this issue but I never had this problem until last week. (This, of course, doesn’t mean I didn’t have it before. Perhaps I didn’t notice.) I’m at a loss as to what I should do.
I’ve seen some other forum posts that discuss caching. Should I install a cache plugin to alleviate this problem? We do have another Map plugin which I deactivated to see if that was the problem and I also changed to the 2014 theme as well but nothing changed.
Thank you in advance,

ModeratorHello Nadia,
Welcome back! Sorry to hear about the issues… luckily we’re here to help 🙂
I noticed you said “yes” to both deactivating all other plugins except for ours and reverting back to the default WP theme as outlined in our Testing for conflicts, but I just want to confirm this. Another method to identifying errors is by right-clicking your mouse and opening “Inspect” – you should see any errors in that console.
In response to the Google Maps API key error – we are aware of this issue and working towards a solution. Stay tuned to your wp-admin and theeventscalendar.com/blog for more information.
Caching plugins can be extremely beneficial, but they are very finicky. One wrong setting can throw your entire site out of whack. However, I don’t believe a caching plugin would help solve the issues you’re currently experiencing.
Thank you for contacting us and please keep me updated with your findings. Have a great rest of your week!

ParticipantHi Hunter,
Thank you for your answer. I just double-checked my issue again with all plugins deactivated and with the theme on 2014 but no go. Since you said there is an error with the Google Maps API, and I’m sure this is the source of my problem since my issue isn’t produced in the other views, I’m going to wait to get more information from TEC so I marked this as resolved.
Thanks again!
