Hi we use the Pro version, new users. I have tried to set up a feed for twitter using Zapier as per instructions https://theeventscalendar.com/automating-event-promotion-zapier/
However the fields which I would have thought essential to appear on the actual tweet- the date of the event and the venue – do not appear to be available.
Also is there the ability to be able to say tweet events one week priod to the event, rather than the published date?
Thanks for any help.

August 30, 2017 at 1:33 pm #1342690CliffMemberHi, Jeff. I understand your feedback. That Zapier integration post is basically saying that Events are a custom post type and therefore you can trigger newly-published posts via Zapier.
Unfortunately, there isn’t more to it than that, such as triggering based on event date (as opposed to published date).
I believe you’re requesting the same thing as one of our existing feature requests: https://tribe.uservoice.com/forums/195723-feature-ideas/suggestions/8391186-reminder-emails-for-x-days-before-event
Please do add your vote there.

Many thanks for your response.
Could you let me have a response to the part about being able to show the dates/venue on the Twitter post please.
If It isn’t possible for the Zapier feed to show the posts in event date order, is it at all possible to achieve via any other method? This is very very important to us, and having just spent $500 on your plugin and pro bundle, I would not be particularly happy if I can’t do something regarding posting events to Twitter/Facebook as we are with our current site which is ten years old and very dated technology.
Thank you
September 5, 2017 at 1:31 pm #1345152CliffMemberJeff, Zapier doesn’t support WordPress custom fields, other than Advanced Custom Fields, per https://zapier.com/help/wordpress/#custom-field-support
Therefore, maybe Zapier isn’t the best solution for what you’re trying to accomplish.
Maybe a WordPress plugin that posts to Buffer, Twitter, and/or Facebook, et. al. would be more appropriate.
The BNFW plugin might be helpful. Here’s a post to how others are using it: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/email-2/#post-1273844
It’s how-to might be helpful for how other plugins possibly do what you’re needing. However, I don’t know of a plugin that does this out of the box that also posts at a specified future date and time. Therefore, it might also involve some custom code to make it work.
Again, native functionality is expected to come eventually, but not soon.
If you do need some custom coding assistance, I might be able to help there, but I can’t guarantee that I’ll be able to.
