ParticipantHi EC Team–
I’ve set up a shortcode on a page called “/program-schedules” for my client.
The calendar shortcode displays their programs in view=”week”.The problem:
– The week view is not showing anything on the hourly schedule when viewed on mobile
– The month view is much more effective for mobile – however I am using a shortcode to generate the view so the mobile default in Events Calendar Pro settings is overwrittenWhat I’m trying to do:
1.) use the shortcode to display the calendar in week view on desktop, and
2.) use the shortcode to display the calendar in month view at a set breakpoint for mobile.Does the shortcode formula include multiple views? (I haven’t been able to find anything in the Knowledge Base yet).
Attached is a screenshot of the empty week view that I am encountering on mobile right now. As you can see, there are events listed below for today’s date at 6:30am, but no block of events shows up at 6:30am on the hourly schedule.
Many thanks for your advice and help to come,
D&D Team-

KeymasterHi Veronica,
Thanks so much for reaching out!
Unfortunately there isn’t a way to enable different views via a shortcode. You can enable different views with the main calendar for desktop and mobile, if that is something you are interested in. You can set up custom breakpoints if desired, and can use our Themer’s Guide as a jumping off point.

If this functionality is a requirement for your intended project, I’d suggest that a third-party developer would be the best way to make this feature happen on a short timeline. ? We maintain a list of developers who work with our plugins on our Knowledgebase here:

You can also add this idea to our Feature Requests, as we tend to implement ideas based on customer feedback, so your input is greatly appreciated:

Let me know if you have any other questions on this topic!
Thanks,
Jaime

ParticipantHi Team – thanks for your reply.
For any users looking for answers on this thread, I stopped using the shortcode altogether, used the default event page at my own desired slug (changed in Event Calendar Pro settings), and adding some custom HTML after it in the area provided again in Event Calendar display settings.
I got stuff on the page that needed to be there, I can use filter bar.
I also voted to request filter bar for shortcode use.
Cheers!
