Using Posts as Calendar Events

Hi,

We currently use Eventbrite “Posts” & “Pages” as events. “Posts” are effectively one-off events; “Pages” are repeating events. Perhaps this isn’t the best way to do things, but it’s how we’ve done it for about 3 years.
In purchasing Events Calendar Pro, my hope was that The Events Calendar options would be available when creating a “Post” or a “Page”. In this way, I could convert some of the 40+ Posts or Pages we are currently using into the Events Calendar fairly easily without having to create a whole new “Event” for each.
Is this something that is possible?

Our Event Tickets plugin can support multiple post types (Events, Posts, and/or Pages), but our The Events Calendar plugin only works with the Events, Organizers, and Venues post types.

Our Events Calendar PRO add-on for The Events Calendar adds quite a few bits of functionality:

• allow Events to be recurring events (nothing recurring about Posts or Pages though)
• add additional views, like Map and Photo views
• create and display Additional Fields
• and more

So, in the end, there’s no conversion from Posts and Pages to Events — and Posts and Pages don’t appear on the Events views (like in Month and List views) — but using The Events Calendar’s “Events” post type might be the best choice moving forward.

Last but not least, we have a pretty great Refund Policy so you can buy one or many of our add-ons and thoroughly test them.
