    Hello,
I’m interested in buying your plugin, but I would like to know if it has the following features:
    1) Manage users permissions on a calendar. “Author and Editor” users must be able to insert/modify/delete their own events, but they must not be allowed to edit other users events. “Administrator” users must be able to add / modify / delete all the events
    2) “Administrator” users must be able to block events insertion for a single day and/or periods of time. When a period of time is blocked, no one will be able to insert events for that period except for the Administrators.
    3) When a user adds an event, the event must be colored with a specific color assigned to the user. Therefore every user must have a different color assigned and when the Administrator creates a new user, he must be able to choose a color for him/her that it’s not already in use by another user.

    Thank you!

    Hey Daniela,

Thanks for reaching out, and for your interest in our plugins!

I’ll address your questions in the order they appear.

    1) Manage users permissions on a calendar. “Author and Editor” users must be able to insert/modify/delete their own events, but they must not be allowed to edit other users events. “Administrator” users must be able to add / modify / delete all the events

Our plugins themselves do not provide any user management features. These are all provided by WordPress itself.

When it comes to the sort of distinction of capabilities like you describe:

    • Authors can create and publish their own events.
    • Authors can view other users’ events in the wp-admin, but cannot edit or publish/un-publish them.
    • Editors CAN edit other users’ events in the wp-admin, and CAN publish them or un-publish them.

☝️This the default configuration. You can modify this with code or some sort of user roles/permissions plugin though.

    2) “Administrator” users must be able to block events insertion for a single day and/or periods of time. When a period of time is blocked, no one will be able to insert events for that period except for the Administrators.

Our plugins unfortunately do not provide any sort of feature like this. 🙁

    3) When a user adds an event, the event must be colored with a specific color assigned to the user. Therefore every user must have a different color assigned and when the Administrator creates a new user, he must be able to choose a color for him/her that it’s not already in use by another user.

Our plugins unfortunately do not provide any sort of feature like this. 🙁 It could be built with extensive customizations, but there’s nothing out of the box for this.

There is a third-party add-on that we do not make, which adds colors to events based on their category, but this is still unfortunately not based on the author/user → https://wordpress.org/plugins/the-events-calendar-category-colors/

    I hope this information helps!

    Hi George,
    thank you for your response.
You said that I can achieve what I need with some customizations, do you offer this service?
And if you do, how can I have a quotation?
    Thank you!

    Hey Daniela,

Thank you for your follow up!

While we unfortunately do not provide customization services ourselves, we do maintain a list of some well-respected developers in the community who may be available for hire. You can find that list here:

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/find-a-customizer/

I hope this list is helpful.

Best of luck with your project!
    George
