GuestHello, I tried searching but couldn’t find info on “user submitted events”
Does The Events Calendar support users submitting an event, notifying a moderator and then allowing the moderator to “approve” which adds the event to the calendar?

ParticipantNo worries Corby, I’d be happy to help guide you through that.
We do indeed support user submitted events. This functionality is part of our addon: Community Events . When used in conjuntion with the free “Core” plugin The Events Calendar you can accept user events. It has a variety of moderation settings, including putting new events in Pending Review when a user submits them so that a moderator must first approve them. It also allows users to edit events if the details change. Does that sound like what you’re looking for?
Cheers!

GuestActually, one more quick question. Does the person submitting need to be a user? Or can it be a “public” submission?

You can set it either way you want. There is an option in the settings that allows you to accept “Anonymous” (public) submissions if you want. So either way is possible, just select your preference after installing.
Side note: I mentioned earlier users can edit events they have submitted. However, anonymous users will not be able to edit their events. For that they would need to first create an account, then the calendar can track all of the past events and allow them to submit updates.
Thanks Brook, that’s all I needed to know!
It’s my pleasure. If there is anything else I’m still here. Cheers!
