ParticipantHi there,
I’m trying to restrict my permissions for event tickets so I can allow the editor role to create ticket fieldsets, but i do not want them to be able to create posts on the website (i.e. blog posts).
Currently the Ticket Fieldsets is registering as a “Post” unlike the organizers, venues etc. So i’m unable to set a permission for Ticket Fieldsets as its inheriting the same permission structure from posts.
Is this going to be modified in the future to allow more granular permissions for ticket fieldsets?
Kind Regards,
JarradNovember 13, 2017 at 5:38 am #1381422Jaime Marchwinski
KeymasterHi Jarrad,
Thanks so much for reaching out!
In order to achieve what you are describing, I would recommend checking out our article on Admin Roles and Permissions. With the help of a plugin, like Members, you may be able to have advanced role capabilities:
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/admin-roles-and-permissions/
Also, please feel free to vote on or add this idea to our Feature Ideas, as we take custom feedback into account when implementing new features:

I hope this helps, let me know how it goes!
Thanks,
Jaime

ParticipantHey Jaime,
If you look at this following link – https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/admin-roles-and-permissions/
You’ll see there are permissions for the following:
– Event Capabilities
– Venues Capabilities
– Organizer CapabilitiesHowever there is not one for “Ticket Fieldset Capabilities” and its inheriting the generic wordpress ones for ticket fieldsets
i.e.
edit_published_pages
edit_published_postsTherefore modifying any permissions in the members plugin is also modifying permissions for them to do posts etc

ParticipantI’ve also posted this as a request here:
https://tribe.uservoice.com/forums/195723-feature-ideas/suggestions/32258734-add-permissions-capabilities-for-ticket-fieldsetNovember 15, 2017 at 9:14 am #1383630Jaime Marchwinski
KeymasterHi Jarrad,
Great, thank you so much for adding your requests to our Feature Ideas. We truly appreciate customer feedback to get a sense for what is desired in our plugin.
In the meantime, I can only point you to our Themer’s Guide, which shows you templates and views that you can edit, if you are interested.
If this functionality is a requirement for your intended project, I’d suggest that a third-party developer would be the best way to make this feature happen on a short timeline. ? We maintain a list of developers who work with our plugins on our Knowledgebase here:
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/find-a-customizer/
Please let me know if you have any other questions!
Thanks,
Jaime
