I’m experiencing a problem with the [tribe_events] shortcode. I have it embedded on a page and it works fine initiall.

However, if you select an event from the main calendar and then click the back button, the month that was just displaying events now says “There were no events found.”

Similarly, if I use the URL to set the month, it also says no events found:
    http://honens.archwebdev.com/events/complete-calendar/?tribe-bar-date=2017-09

But if you use the navigation bar at the top to change to a different month and then back to the month originally queried (in this case September), the events show up fine.

This does not seem to be a problem with the default “slug” display:
    http://honens.archwebdev.com/complete-calendar/?tribe-bar-date=2017-09

    Thanks for your help!

    Hi Mark!

Let me help you with that issue.

First, please try flushing your permalinks by going to your wp-admin > Settings > Permalinks and click Save Changes. Does it change anything?

If it doesn’t, this could be a theme or plugin conflict, so to narrow down the problem please go through the complete steps in this guide > https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/testing-for-conflicts/ and let me know if you find anything during that process.

    Thanks,
    Victor

    Hi Victor,

I tried both flushing my permalinks and all of the steps on the page you sent to test if there is a conflict. With the 2016 theme, all plugins except Events Calendar disabled, and the browser cache cleared, I still have the same problem.

Can you please advise how to fix?

    Thank you

    Hi Mark!

Thanks for making all the tests.

Unfortunately, I could reproduce the issue and it turns to be a bug we found a couple of days ago. As you can see, this only affects the shortcode and not the main calendar.

I will set this thread to “Pending fix” and link it to the bug report. We will notify you once a bugfix is available in one of our upcoming maintenance releases.

I apologise for this inconvenience and we’d appreciate your patience in the meantime.

Do let me know if you have any other questions and I’d be happy to assist.

    Best,
    Victor

Thanks for the update. Just wondering if you have an approximate ETA on when this fix will be released? Since we only use the shortcode and not the default main calendar, it’s an important fix for us!

    Hi Mark,

Thanks for following up with this.

Unfortunately, I can’t commit to a date for when this will be addressed.

I really understand it is an important issue for you. I know there are some other users experiencing the same issue. Rest assured it will be addressed as we take all our issues seriously.

I will try to flag this again in the report to see if we can get things moving faster and will keep you posted about it.

    Best,
    Victor

    Hi,

I installed the latest Events Calendar PRO update today. We now have installed:
    Events Calendar Version 4.5.13
    Events Calendar PRO Version 4.4.17

It looks like this update fixes the issue with the calendar shortcode returning “No Events Found” but instead, it is showing events from the current month (Sept), even though the month listed says November (or Oct, etc):

The attached screenshot shows what happens when I go to the URL below. The calendar date says Nov but the events are all from Sept.

    Complete Calendar

Can you please let me know if this bug is already on your radar and if there is a fix in the works?

    Thank you!

    Hi Mark,

Thanks for following up and for taking your time to report this.

I can confirm this is indeed an issue we are aware of and is already logged in as a bug. For the moment I don’t have an estimate yet, but I know it’s of a higher priority than many others in our radar.

We’ll let you know when a fix is released for it.

    Best,
    Victor

Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.

    Thanks so much!
