ParticipantHi – we reached out to you last week regarding an alert in our CMS that we are out of installs. You suggested we update the plugins manually (https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/manual-updates/). You also said that we can “update automatically so as long as you do so from the network-level admin screens (important, because you appear to be running our plugins within a multisite network). I believe you have to do this from the network-level admin.”
It didn’t work and we are still being told we are out of installs. We have a multisite license for the Events Calendar Pro so are truly baffled.
We are trying to launch our websites today and this is the only hold up. I would appreciate a quick answer on this.
Thank you!

KeymasterHi there,
I’m sorry to hear that you’re having issues with your multisite license. I will try to help you get this sorted.
When using a multisite license, there is no limit on how many sites within that multisite you use the plugin on.
In a multisite environment, plugin updates are managed for the entire multisite from the main dashboard. To use a multisite license, you will want to enter it in the events settings on the main site for the multisite network.
You can remove the license from the settings in any of the subsites.
In any case, this notification will not actually affect being able to activate and use the plugins.
Let me know if following these instructions fixes your issue, and if you have any further questions about this.
Thanks,

ParticipantHello. Our media partner tried installing the plugins on a new enviornment of the websites and there are still issues. Can they reach out to you directly? How would they do so? Should I just share them the login credentials for this site and have them login as us?

KeymasterHi again,
Are they trying to activate it on a site other than basis.bfm? When using the multisite license, it will be attached to a single domain, the main domain of the MultiSite install. If you have changed where the license is activated, you will need to remove the old domain from your license.
If you are needing your media partner to troubleshoot with me on your behalf, then giving them the login credentials here is your best bet.
Thanks,

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
