ParticipantHi there,
I’m running into a critical problem with the ticket stock numbers. I’m using Event Tickets Plus with woo commerce and Stripe as a payment gateway, and the system is not regarding the stock that I set but letting me continue purchasing tickets after I have theoretically purchased them all.
The problem seems to be occurring in a number of different ways though. Firstly, if I create an event without a global stock and try to cap an individual ticket, the system won’t save my input into the ‘stock’ option – when I go into edit the ticket again the box is blank next to stock. When I go to the event page and attempt to buy a ticket it will also let me buy as many as I would like.
Secondly, when I try to use a global stock it does save the options in the system – when I choose to use the global stock for a ticket it lists ‘global inventory’ for the units remaining, and if I chose to use global stock but cap sales for a ticket it correctly remembers the number I input in the options, but it doesn’t display this number next to the ticket when I leave the settings. For both of these, as above when I go to the front end of the website and do a test purchase the system doesn’t let me purchase more than the max at any one time, but even after confirming that order it lets order again as if no tickets had been purchased yet at all.
This has meant that for an event with a global stock of 10 I have managed to buy 20 tickets, and for a ticket using the global stock but capped at 5 I have managed to buy 7 tickets. I could keep on buying tickets to my hearts content – the system isn’t stopping me. And I have been through and confirmed all the orders before purchasing my next batch so it isn’t an issue with some still being processing.
Finally, if I’m using a global stock and try to set an independent stock level, as above the system doesn’t save my input and it acts as if there were unlimited tickets available.
I need an urgent solution to this problem as I am hoping to get my event online today and this is such a catastrophic error that if it isn’t resolved I will not be able to use this platform and will have to look for alternatives.
Any help would be greatly appreciated! I’ve tried deactivating plugins and reverting to the twenty sixteen theme but that hasn’t helped!
I’ve uploaded some screen shots with ticket names reflecting the settings I have chosen when editing the tickets, but this not being shown in the ticket summary.
Thanks,
Tim

ParticipantHey Timothy,
I’m sorry to hear about these issues. We’re happy to take a closer look to figure out what’s going on.
Before moving forward though, can you please post your site’s complete, un-edited System Information to this thread? Here’s how to do that: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/
If you want to keep that information private, please check the “Set as private reply” option on the reply submission form before submitting the reply. This way, that information will only be visible to you and to us on the support team.
We’ll take a look at that and proceed from there.
Thank you!

ParticipantHey George,
thanks for getting back to me. I managed to work out what the issue was and it’s quite embarrassing! I’d unchecked ‘enable stock management’ in the inventory settings of WooCommerce, and this meant that it wasn’t limiting the number of tickets.
I found out that if I tried creating a ticket using RSVP rather than WooCommerce it did correctly limit the numbers, so I knew that it must have been an issue with how WooCommerce was set up.Thanks though!

ParticipantNo worries at all Tim! I appreciate the update and am sorry that I didn’t think of ensuring that option was checked!
Thanks for sharing your solution. Open a new thread any time if other issues or questions arise.
Cheers
