Hello, i just purchased 3 plugins, event ticket plus, community events & community tickets.
They’re all working well but as soon as i activate the community tickets’ extension my menu located in my header goes crazy.
As you can see on the image below, the menu and the logo aren’t aligned anymore on top of the header picture & my slider with my value proposition is like shifted to the left.
What can i do to fixe this ??

    Hi Sami,

Welcome and thanks so much for reaching out!

As a first step, let’s try to rule out if there is some type of conflict at play.
    This is usually because of:

    1.    A conflict with another plugin

    2.    A conflict with your WordPress theme

    3.    A template customization for the Events Calendar that requires updating

When it comes to that type of issue, it is preferable to troubleshoot in a staging environment if you have one.

A first quick test is to simply temporarily revert back to a default WordPress theme such as twenty-sixteen to see if the issue persists.

The next step would be to go through our testing for conflicts procedure and let us know what you find out.

Basically the goal here is to revert back to a bare WordPress installation to see if the problem persists. It also allows us to pinpoint what the cause of the issue is.

But, before you do that, there are 2 things I would advise:

    1.    Make a backup of your database

    2.    Consider activating a “Maintenance Page” plugin if you are doing this on your live site (to minimize impact on your visitors)

Let me know how that goes!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

    Hello,

I did the procedure to find the conflict and i did.
There is no conflict regarding the theme (i use this theme : TicketBox – Event Tickets WordPress).
After desactivating all my plugins except those linked to the event tickets plugins and reactivating them i have noticed that the conflict came from the woocommerce plugin.
As soon as i activate it, my primary menu at the top looses its alignement and my slider revolution is like shifted to the left.
This problem occured as soon as i activated the community tickets plugin so i assume there is a conflict between both plugins (community tickets & woocommerce).
You can have a look of the problem in the picture below.

    Thank you

    Sami

    Hi Sami,

Thanks so much for running through that process.  I am wondering if there is a conflict between WooCommerce and your theme, because I have WooCommerce, a default WordPress theme, and our plugins installed on my test site, and I am unable to replicate the issue.

As a next step, can you try updating your WordPress version and see if the issue still exists?

If it does, can you try flushing your permalinks by going to Settings < Permalinks and Save Changes.

If that doesn’t resolve the issue, could you please send me a copy of the latest version of your WordPress theme / child theme via a link to a .zip file link (stored Dropbox or Google Drive) so that I can run some tests on my end ? I recommend a private reply for that purpose.

Please ensure you are using the latest files as found on your actual website.

This way I will get access to any updates or customizations you might have made.

Let me know how it all goes!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

    Hi Sami,

Thanks for providing me with your theme.  I was unable to reproduce the issue on my test site, however I did see some error messages related to the theme.

As a workaround, you may be able to resolve the layout issue with some CSS.  You can start off by adding something like this to your theme’s stylesheet or WordPress Customizer:

    div#dt-main-menu {
    float:left;
    }

You may have to additionally add some padding, depending on the results that you are looking for.

Let me know how that goes!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

    Hello,

I added some CSS and here is the result, but as u can see on the picture, i still have a problem with my value proposition image that is shifted to the left on all my pages.
And at the top, there should be a separation between my logo and the menu.
You can compare on both pictures below.

    Thank you in advance.

    Hi Sami,

Okay, I see what you mean.

Just to let you know, we are limited by our Support Policy in how much we can help with customizations, but I will try to point you in the right direction.

It looks like the slider is still causing an issue, because I see the following error appearing in the console:

You may want to address that issue first, before making any other CSS changes, and possibly reach out to the theme developers.

    Let me know your thoughts!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

I’m having the same issue and I noticed that when the plugin is activated, for some reason common-css is being loading which overrides the .wrap class, which is pretty nuts considering there are a ton of different sites that probably use that class.

Once that style sheet is dequeued, your styles should go back to normal. Unfortunately, I have no idea how to dequeue it from the plugin…

    #1423055

    Thanks for your feedback, Christopher!

One suggestion is for you both to try the following extension to dequeue CSS Styles and Javascript Files:

    https://theeventscalendar.com/extensions/dequeue-assets/

Sami, let me know how it goes!

Christopher, if you are still experiencing the same issue, please open up a new thread so that we can provide you with more personalized attention!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
