Eric
Participantafter a year will i still be able to get updates? the paid version says updates and support for a year. after a year what happens? I’ve used other plugins that expire after a year, then they try to get you to buy an extended license for continued updates which i think is a strong arm tactic. I want to buy something for my client that they won’t have to wrestle with in a year. Please share your strategy for ongoing plugin updates.

MemberHi,
Thanks for using our plugins. I can help out here.
Our license is for one year of support and updates. After the year the plugins will continue to work, but there is no more access to updates unless you renew for another year, which is 30% off the current price.
We do not offer a lifetime update license.
If that is a deal breaker we do have a 30 day refund policy.
To request a refund please follow our policy outlined here:
And we can take care of it. Thanks

ParticipantHey Brian,
To follow up on this question… I purchased a business license for several products which I’m interested in renewing, but I only need the personal license at this point. Does that also qualify for the renewal discount?
I could not see any way to select that as an option, only to upgrade to a higher level.
Thanks

ParticipantWell that is a bummer. I think this is a choice you made to maximize revenue and not consider how this could affect clients. My client is not going to know what to do in a year and the plugin will fall out of date. What if you have a security release after you notice a vulnerability? This kind of choice is wrong. I’ve always used your plugin and this is the first time i’ve paid for it because I wanted recurring dates. In the future I will go elsewhere.

MemberSorry you disagree we have made that choice and going to stick with it as we think that is the most sustainable business model to keep the product, improving, up to date, adding new features, and secure. If the license is not what you would like, you do have the refund option outlined above so you can find a product that fits you.
Also, we have not had an issue in the past with a security release, but would always be willing to work with someone to help them out to get it resolved.
Other Eric, it is always a good idea to create your own thread, please create a new thread so we can help you with a private reply, which I cannot do here as you did not create the thread.
Thanks
