Update Renamed Plugin Folders and…

I just tried doing an update of Pro from version 4.0.7 to 4.1, and Community Events from 4.0.6 to 4.1. After the update, the folders for both plugins were renamed to a super long folder name (I reverted the changes before copying what the folder names were). Also, both plugins were no longer activated in the plugin list (I assume because the folder names had changed). The base plugin (The Events Calendar) seemed to update fine to 4.1. Anyway, this broke a few things on the site, so I reverted the changes back to the previous versions.

I’d like to update everything, but I don’t want this to happen again. Any thoughts?

Sorry for the issues you are having. I got the same results on my test site as well.

Manually updating using these steps should resolve the issue:
