Our Event Pro license expired and was just updated with a purchase renewal.

I have updated the Free version on the site but when I go to update the Pro version after checking that the proper license key is installed (and says it is good to 2017) I keep getting an Update Failed warning when trying to update to the newest version (4.2.2)

It has been suggested that I delete the plugin and reinstall manually, which I have no problem doing, but before I do this, I need assurances that all of my Calendar data will remain intact. It took a long time to put it in.

    Thanks
    Mark

    Hey Mark,

Go ahead and try reinstalling manually – you shouldn’t lose any of your data. I always recommend backing up just in case. Please review the Testing for conflicts guide and make sure you test the issue with only our plugins and the default WP theme active.

Let me know how it goes and take care 🙂

Thanks Hunter. After I backed up my entire site, deactivated the plugin, deleted the relevant files for Events Pro with FTP and then uploaded the new update, I am upgraded to the newest version and no more complaints that the Plugin is out of date and no data loss was encountered.

    Problem solved.

    Hey Mark,

Thank you for letting me know the issue has been resolved! Please create a new thread if you have any more questions and have a great weekend.

    Cheers!
