ParticipantI am trying to update to version 4.2.5 and I am getting an error for too many redirects. I have attached a screen shot. I have tried to update it with both the plugin active and deactivated. And I have tried to deactive other plugins to no avail. Ideas?

ParticipantI also just tried to download the file and then install it manually, which resulted in an “installed failed” error

MemberHi Michael,
So sorry about the trouble with updating!
Too many redirects is often a sign of something else happening with WordPress or the server itself.
To get around that, will you please try manually installing the plugin update instead?
You can find the latest download of Events Calendar PRO by logging into your account on this site and heading to My Accounts > Downloads.
Then, please follow the steps outlined in this article to install the download. That should help you get around the issue of too many redirects.
Will that work for you? Please let me know. 🙂
Cheers!

MemberShoot, sorry for the continued trouble here, Michael!
Will you please give me a step-by-step outline of the steps you took to upload the plugin? I used the following and everything seemed to work out:
- Logged into this website and downloaded the latest ZIP file of Events Calendar PRO
- Extracted the plugin folder from the ZIP file
- Opened my FTP application and navigated to /wp-content/plugins
- Made a backup of my existing Events Calendar PRO plugin, then removed it from the directory
- Uploaded the un-zipped file of the latest version of Events Calendar PRO
- Went to Plugins > Installed Plugins from the WordPress dashboard and confirmed that the latest version was being used
Did you follow similar steps? Please let me know so we can compare notes and see what’s different.
Thanks!
