Update 4.0 took site down

Having previously problems updating to 4.0 plugin, I had my hosting company revert to the older version. Then I followed the directions on this site by making sure I updated the community events plugin before I updated the Events Calendar Update. It still took my site down and locked me out. Is there an update coming out that doesn’t have this glitch? If not, how do I update the plugin without taking my site down?

Hi Rhonda. So sorry about this happening on your site. It’s something our developers want to make sure to have not happen in the future.

For your current predicament, you should be able to manually update your plugins to the latest versions and then everything should be working again.

Please let me know how it goes for you. I hope to hear back a good report.
