ParticipantHi,
I’m getting a message that there’s a new version of The Events Calendar Pro, but there’s no option to update. See screenshots below. Further, when I click on “view details,” I get a screen with the message, “An unexpected error occurred. Something may be wrong with WordPress.org or this server’s configuration. If you continue to have problems, please try the support forums.”
I have successfully updated The Events Calendar (not Pro) to 4.3.3.
Any suggestions?

ParticipantI have the same issue.
The following plugins are out of date: Events Calendar PRO 4.2.3. All add-ons contain dependencies on The Events Calendar and will not function properly unless paired with the right version. Learn More.
Hoping to resolve soon.
ThanksI also get this when I try to update The Event Calendar Pro and Event Ticket Plus.
Hope we can resolve soon.
Thanks

ModeratorHi Lance and Tapan 🙂
@Tapan, can you please create a separate thread about your issue? We have an open bug, so the more threads tied to the bug report will increase the likelihood of a patch being released sooner rather than later.
@Lance, as previously mentioned, we have a logged bug and are aware the plugins are not showing when updates are available in your WordPress admin dashboard. I’ve gone ahead and added this forum thread to the logged report.
For the time being, you can update Manually. Please let me know if you have any additional questions and please stay tuned to our Release Notes and the plugin changelogs for maintenance release info.
Thanks again to the both of you and have a great evening. Cheers!

ParticipantOK, here’s the deal. I was following your suggestion for manually installing. I downloaded the latest zip file of TECP. Then I deactivated the plugin. Curiously, as soon as I deactivated, a message popped up saying that there was a new version of TECP and inviting me to update. I clicked on update. The update was installed automatically. I reactivated the plugin. Everything seems nice!
So, I guess my immediate problem is resolved. However, the strange behavior remains. I hope this gets fixed before the next update.

ModeratorGreat!
It’s definitely strange how things work themselves out sometimes. Rest assured we’re hard at work so you don’t have to worry about this issue again. Have a great rest of your day!

ParticipantI also found that deactivating TECP (and the filter bar addon) brought an update link that worked into view. Looks like all is fine.
Note that in WP 4.6.1, when you select “Update Available” at the top of the plugins page, TECP does appear just with no update link.

ParticipantHi, Hunter and Colleagues–
FYI, I have once again received an update invitation for TEC (4.3.4.1), with no parallel notice for TECP.

ParticipantFor the current update, the pro version was not visible until I deactivated. It disappeared again when I reactivated. I deactivated and tried to install, but the install failed. This is getting to be a pain!

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
