    I’m unable to edit an event and add a new or existing venue or organizer to an event, although when I do add a new venue or organizer it does save in the venue or organizer list. I’m just not able to save to the event itself. The only workaround is to create an event from scratch and add the details from the outset, which is a nuisance as venues may not be confirmed until nearer the date.

    This was happening on the last version of ECP, so I have upgraded in the hope it would address the issue, but to no avail.

    Latest WP also installed.

    I’m sorry to hear that you’ve hit up against difficulties, Jane. Let’s run through the scenario first of all just so I can be sure I’m understanding correctly.

    If I open an existing event for editing and wish to change the venue I can do so. I can click on Create or Find Venue then select an existing venue or start typing the name of a new venue (at which point a bunch of address fields will become available).

    With that done I can hit the update button and save the event without difficulty. Is that essentially the process you are trying to follow? At what point do things go wrong – when you note that you’re not able to save the event itself, do you mean that upon clicking the update/publish button literally nothing happens?

    Hi Barry

    That is exactly the process I am following, and in the same way I may open an event to add or edit the organizer.

    The change appears to happen in the edit even screen, I hit update, and when the screen refreshes, the venue
    or organizer remains unchanged, as if I never made the change at all.

    However…if I have created a new venue or organizer, although it doesn’t display in the event, it is added to my list of venues or organizers, which I can access separately in the Event Calendar plugin in WordPress.

    The issue seems to be the inability of the event to store the change I have made for those two fields. I can update the description and it saves the change OK.

    OK, that’s puzzling. I don’t have the same experience and there don’t seem to be many other reports along similar lines. Are you able to run through our standard troubleshooting steps, in case this is the result of a conflict with either your theme or another plugin?
