ParticipantPotentially related to this: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/wp-admin-area-very-slow-after-activating-plugin/
For some reason all of a sudden (potentially after plugin/core/theme updates – unsure) the WordPress admin is running unbelievably slow on one website. After narrowing this down via New Relic Stack Trace information, it seems that the site is struggling to load tri.be. Trying a couple of times, taking an awful long time each time.
Not sure why this is being called every time a page loads – seems over kill…
Anyhow. Any idea why this would be going to slowly? This setup is in place on multiple sites so a little unsure why it is just the single site where this is causing a problem.

ParticipantAlso. Checked the server firewall and ports 80 & 443 are open for inbound and outbound traffic.

ParticipantMichael, I am having the same issue.. haha and seems to only show on 1 site of many I am running with ECP. Not sure why tri.be is down, but on my server I just update /etc/hosts to override tri.be dns to point to 127.0.0.1 instead, so any access will immediately fail instead of hanging indefinitely.
I have been seeing this issue off and on for the past week or two…
I have not exactly determined why it’s only this install, but I do know it’s an out of date version of ECP with many customizations.

MemberHi,
Sorry for the issues. The site was down, but now has been fixed. Please try again and see if it is working.
Thanks

ParticipantThanks all. Looks like that has solved the problem and actually created another one with disabling the plugin, https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/deactivated-the-events-calendar-pro-and-events-no-longer-showing/.
Anyhow, it would be good for future plugin updates if there was a fail safe built into the plugin so that every website using the plugin isn’t affected when the tri.be website goes down.
Thanks
