ParticipantHello everyone,
So, I was getting errors when trying to update The Events Calendar plug-ins and others from Envato. I was told in another answer that it was because our site was multi and not single site. I had my hosting provider convert our site to single site. Yes, this resolved my plug-in update problem. However, we now have a bigger problem. We get a transparent gray haze over the page when trying to register. Then you can’t type anything. This haze also occurs when trying to fill out our contact forms. You can’t type more than one line. Our web hosting provider is telling me that they cannot replicate the issue on their end…..(?) which I find hard to believe. Can anyone replicate, and more importantly, give me a clue on how to resolve? Thank you.If you try to register for this, you get the gray screen:

If you try to fill this form out, you get the gray screen:

KeymasterHi Lisa,
Thanks for reaching out to us! I’d be happy to help you 🙂
I had a look at your website, but didn’t come across the gray screen you were referring to. When you are not logged in, do you get the gray screen as well?
It’s possible there’s a conflict somewhere. Could you try to deactivate all other plugins to see if that makes a difference? And then could you try to revert back to the default theme (Twenty Seventeen)? Please read our documentation about testing for conflicts before doing anything.
In case you don’t have a staging site to do those tests, you may consider using a plugin like Plugin Detective and/or Health Check, each of which provide a troubleshooting mode that aims to ensure your site will continue to operate as normal for regular visitors.
Please let me know what you find out during the process.
Cheers,

ParticipantHi Jeremy
Thanks for your response. I was forced to restore the site to multiuser version again, since so many functions were broken, and we needed the site to work. I’m on vacation now but will possibly try some of these suggestions in the future. Thank you for your response.August 21, 2018 at 12:23 am #1601798Jeremy
KeymasterHi Lisa,
Please let me know how it goes with the suggestions I told you.
And most of all, enjoy your vacation!
