Hi, I am using Events calendar PRO and Events tickets plus.

When I set up a recurring event in the future, the tickets display. However when the first of the recurring events has passed, the tickets for all of the events (still in the future) disappear from the front end.

We need the tickets for the future events to remain available until all of the recurring events have taken place.

    Hi Sue,

Thanks so much for reaching out!

Would you mind taking a screenshot for me of what your event looks like on the backend, so that I can try to replicate the issue on my own test site?

In the meantime, let’s try to rule out if there is some type of conflict at play.
    This is usually because of:

    1.    A conflict with another plugin

    2.    A conflict with your WordPress theme

    3.    A template customization for the Events Calendar that requires updating

When it comes to that type of issue, it is preferable to troubleshoot in a staging environment if you have one.

A first quick test is to simply temporarily revert back to a default WordPress theme such as twenty-sixteen to see if the issue persists.

The next step would be to go through our testing for conflicts procedure and let us know what you find out.

Basically the goal here is to revert back to a bare WordPress installation to see if the problem persists. It also allows us to pinpoint what the cause of the issue is.

But, before you do that, there are 2 things I would advise:

    1.    Make a backup of your database

    2.    Consider activating a “Maintenance Page” plugin if you are doing this on your live site (to minimize impact on your visitors)

Let me know how that goes!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

    Hi Jaime

Can I be clear about this response. Are you saying that you have read our ticket and it should work, that your view is that this is a bug? Or is this a stock response? We just need to know if it should work as we have outlined and we will troubleshoot from there following your suggestions. We have lost a week day waiting for a reply and this feels like it might be a stock response – I may be wrong of course.

    Kind regards

    Sue

    Hi Sue,

Thank you for your feedback.  This was not a stock response, but rather a first course of action that I general recommend to customers with similar issues.  This process of elimination type of troubleshooting helps us to get a clean slate to make sure that there isn’t anything else going on that may be related to a conflict of some kind.

In addition, I think it is worth mentioning here that recurring events are currently not supported by Event Tickets Plus, as stated here.

You can also vote on this idea in our Feature Requests, as we tend to implement ideas based on customer feedback, so your input is greatly appreciated:

    https://tribe.uservoice.com/forums/195723-feature-ideas/suggestions/3685663-recurring-event-support-for-tickets

Your best option for at this point may be to populate your events in your calendar using the recurring events feature, and then Break Events from Series and create individual tickets that way.

    Let me know your thoughts!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
