Hi – I am using the Event Tickets Plus with woo commerce (paypal) and the Avada theme. Everything is up to date.

I created a test event http://www.fieldtripsforgrownups.com/event/zoo/ with the stock of the tickets set to 100.

I purchased 2 tickets but the stock has not changed. It still says there are 100 tickets available.

Can you please help me with this?
Thank you very much – need to go live with tickets sales asap.
    Best,
    Sheila

Good evening Sheila and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about the fact that your stock seems to be inaccurate after purchasing tickets.
I would love to help you with this topic.

As a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/

    Secondly, would you mind:

    1. Telling me what payment gateway was used to perform that purchase (Paypal, Sandbox, Cheque ?)
    2. Sending me a screenshot of your settings for WooCommerce > Settings > Products > Inventory

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

    Good evening Sheila,

Thank you for writing back and for providing the requested information.

I tried reproducing the issue with the Avada theme on my end and the same versions of our plugins that you are using. Unfortunately, I was not able to reproduce the issue on my end.

Perhaps we are using a different version. Could you please send me a copy of your WordPress theme / child theme in a .zip file link (via Dropbox or Google Drive) so that I can run some tests on my end ?

With that in mind, I would like to ask a few additional questions about the test order you placed:

    • You mentioned that you used Paypal to pay for the test order. Did you go through the complete process  when placing that order (including payment) ? Do you remember what was the last screen you were on as part of that test purchase ? (return to site? Some page on the Paypal site?). Would you mind sharing a prinscreen of your Paypal settings (in a private reply) ?
    • Can you tell me what the order status of these test orders are in WooCommerce ?

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

    Good afternoon Sheila,

Thank you for writing back and answering my questions.

By looking at your screenshots (a054b768ec57.png), it seems like there is a configuration problem with your Paypal IPN response (wrong email address).

As such, even if you do set the order to “Complete” manually and even though the Payment went through at the Paypal level, from WooCommerce’s perspective, this transaction did not go through the complete cycle.

This probably explains why the stock count is off.

I would advise to take a look at the email address tied to the account under WooCommerce > Settings  > Checkout > Paypal

Perhaps the email address tied to the PayPal account was changed at some point  ?

As for Avada, I have 4.0.2 which is close enough to not be an issue. If what I recommended did not work, you can past the dropbox link here (in a private reply).

    Have a good week-end,

    Geoff B.
