Hi. I have my events list right here
http://www.proyectomx.com/main/eventos/
Is there any way I can modify this plugin to include Thumbnails for my events
so it’ll look something like this http://baramericas.com.mx/?post_type=sp_events&eventDisplay=upcomingDecember 6, 2011 at 7:43 pm #11929RobMemberHave you tried adding images within the event entry body and / or as a featured image? Depending on the theme you’re using, the plugin should show events in the list along those lines of the baramericas site. In fact, best I can tell, that user IS using this plugin.

December 7, 2011 at 6:22 pm #11963RobMemberAh, excellent to hear. Let us know if anything else comes up.
March 4, 2012 at 11:40 pm #16196HeatherMemberHi Rob, related to the images – is there an easy way to allow my clients to add images to the event body without knowing code? I can upload a bunch of images to the media library for them to choose from, but the only way I have found to add them is to add the HTML myself in the body of the event. Is there a better way to do this?
March 5, 2012 at 8:24 am #16211RobMemberHey again Heather. Are they adding events from the backend? Couldn’t they just hit the little image icon above the entry (http://cl.ly/2R2f0e3z3U3G0c1Q0T0c), and insert there – so they wouldn’t have to do it manually? Let me know if I”ve misunderstood the request here.

while we are on the subject.. How’s come my image is at the bottom of a BIG OLD SPACE… Just formatting? Css? thanks
http://southernarizonaguide.com/event/tucson-annual-rose-show/March 5, 2012 at 6:59 pm #16243RobMemberHey Karen; it appears so. Was that added as a featured image or as a image within the post? Assuming the former but want to check. Do you need me to get a dev to take a look? Happy to do so if you want, just let me know.
March 6, 2012 at 4:42 am #16271karenParticipant@Rob, I added it first as a featured image without any effect, so then I added it as an image. Not sure where the extra space is coming from. Some CSS I suppose. I am not that good at this, it would take me a while to find. So, if someone can look at their convenience, I would like to start adding pictures. Let me know if you need a login and I will send under email cover. Thanks!
March 6, 2012 at 6:56 am #16276HeatherMemberRob, I can’t believe I missed that little image icon. Totally did not see it. That is awesome. Thanks for getting back to me. I am all set for now.
March 6, 2012 at 10:00 pm #16336HeatherMemberHi Rob – while on the image subject, I would LOVE to see an option to place the images at top right (next to venue info) within the time/date/venue box. Right now, it aligns near bottom of the page. IF there is a map, it is way under the map. http://bridalgownscustomcolorado.com/class/test-test-2/ (page has rough notes for my client)
Here’s one w. a large map – http://bridalgownscustomcolorado.com/class/home-decor-sewing-2/2012-04-10/ – if I make the map smaller, does it show up in the time/date/venue area?March 7, 2012 at 9:18 am #16370RobMemberHeather: awesome to hear that did the trick. Your suggestion here is solid – I can certainly see the value there myself. Not sure what it’d require to implement from a dev standpoint but if you throw it into the “Feature Request” thread (https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/events-calendar-pro-feature-requests/) that’ll give it some weight as we plan out future releases. (Currently, making the map smaller would not automatically cause it to carry over).
Karen: no prob. I’ve asked our dev Jonah to take a look here.
March 7, 2012 at 10:19 am #16382JonahParticipantHi Karen, the big old space is being taken up by the google map div which has a height set to 250px. You can see it in this screenshot: http://cl.ly/3I0s3G2a2O232h0e3F3Y – I’m not sure why the actual map is not showing, have you modified the single.php view?
March 7, 2012 at 10:25 am #16384karenParticipantAh Shoot, some sleuth I am .. I guess I could have done that. and no, I did not modify the single.php view. should I have? I will look into it .. thanks!
March 8, 2012 at 10:02 am #16444RobMemberKaren: you wouldn’t have any reason to modify single.php unless you wanted to add new code or change how it displays. A good way to test this would be to reinstall the plugin fresh (so we know there aren’t any modifications) and see if the issue persists. Can you confirm from there?
