ParticipantHi,
We have Events Cal Pro, and I have used the “recurring event” otion many times. However, I don’t see it today. Our license is up to date, and I just updated the plugin. See image.October 19, 2016 at 6:15 am #1179008Josh
ParticipantHey Benjamin,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
That’s definitely odd. Can you verify that both the Core and Events Calendar Pro versions are in the latest version and activated on your site? I have seen, on rare occasions, myself plugins not getting reactivated after an update process. I wonder if that may be what happened here.
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!

ParticipantHi, I am also having trouble with recurring events, but it’s slightly different. When I select a recurring event (in the admin area) and select “Edit All” my recurring rules are gone. When I click the button “Add Rule,” the page seems to reload but does nothing (comes back to the same page showing the “Add rules” button as it did before. Above on that on the events page, you can see the message in yellow “Recurring event data still being generated….” but it never ends and the progress bar never changes…no matter how long it runs.
Beyond that, when I go to the event listing page again in the admin area. Any event that I looked at (based on the info above), no longer gives me the option to “Edit All” so it’s as though each recurring event that I invoke converts to a non-recurring event and my calendar in production now has less and less events because the recurring events are disappearing.
I’m running Event Calendar v4.3.0.1, Event Calendar Pro v4.3.0, and WP v4.6.1

ParticipantHey Rosanne,
Would you mind opening a new thread for this issue? That way you can share your private system information securely as well as ensure that we’re able to address every question here fully and directly.
When opening the thread, can you verify that you’ve followed the Testing for Conflicts procedures to maybe give more detail about what potential conflicts there could be happening here? Also, be sure to share the system information when opening the thread which will really help us in serving you here.
Thanks!

ParticipantHello,
(Writing for Benjamin. He pays the bills; I operate the website.)
The two plugins are completely up to date. In fact, I just re-updated PRO this morning.
It still does not work properly.
Unable to clone or create a recurring event. There may be other issues that aren’t working properly but those two are the only ones I have noticed.

ParticipantHey Kathy,
Definitely seems very odd, would you mind sending over a screenshot of the event creation date section of the event page (https://cloudup.com/cttdIq6tRsi)?
Also, do the pre-existing recurring events still fully work on the front-end of the site?
Finally, have you tried following our Testing for Conflicts procedures to see if there is a conflict elsewhere that could give us more detail about what may be happening here?
Thanks!

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
