Theming Trouble: single-event.php in theme directory not loading

Greetings. I’ve followed the the themer’s guide and copied single-event.php into [active_child_theme/tribe-events/list/ but changes I make in that file do not show up. I’ve also tried moving the file into the same directory structure in the parent theme.

Any ideas for how to get this working?

I found the answer in this forum:

You might consider updating the Themer’s Guide to indicate the correct directory structure.

Hi,

The themer’s guide is correct. The list directory is for the List View.

You want to follow the Single Event View:
