Michael
ParticipantI have updated all my plugins still I get this error and functionality of my plugins is not working.
The colors are not showing up on the calendar: Each event should have a specific color based off the category.
Conversations with current developer
Prayer Services are not showing up with a color even though they are tagged and in the back end the color is set. (It happens to work for this event- http://gatherdc.org/event/yp-hesed-baking-event/) When you click pray service the right events show up just without color. Same for Giving back – learning and social are working
Yes – fixing this will need to be a phase 2 project
This is not how RiverRock told us it was going to be set up. You were supposed to be able to click as many sub categories as you want BUT when you picked one of the 4 main categories only that color showed up. I assume this isn’t what they actually did but is it still possible? Also what defines “last category”?
I don’t think it was eventually done as per the code we have. The last category refers to the last category in the hierarchy of the categories and their sub that you tick while creating the event. We could look into a way to do it, but we don’t want to risk messing with the code while launching and it will take time to do. If you’d like us to proceed with this, let me know and we can work on an estimate first and we would proceed once approved. I think it’s something that we can work on post launch.I have installed:
The Events Calendar version 4.4.3
The Events Calendar Category Colors version 4.6.4
The Events Calendar PRO version 4.0.6
The Events Calendar Shortcode version 1.4.1
The Events Calendar: Community Events version 4.0.5
The Events Calendar: Facebook Events version 4.0Kindly help to resolve issue asap as I plan to launch website soon. Event Submission and Display are most important.

ParticipantHi Michael,
Thanks for reaching out.
A number of your plugins are out-of-date, including Events Calendar Pro and Community Events.
To find the latest versions of these plugins, head to http://theeventscalendar.com/my-account/downloads, and update your plugins to the most recent version.
Then let us know what issues persist.
In regards to Category Colors, this is not a plugin we make or support. This is a separate, unrelated plugin, so for any issues related to it, please seek support from its creator here → https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/the-events-calendar-category-colors
The same can be said for “The Events Calendar Shortcode”. We do not make this and so don’t offer support for it. Also, please note that as of 4.4, Events Calendar Pro has its own Shortcodes that allow for embedding calendar views…these may work better than that third-party plugin, and indeed that third-parry plugin could even cause conflicts, so it may be worth deactivating that once you update your plugins.
Steps To Do
1. Get Events Calendar Pro and Community Events to their most recent versions: http://theeventscalendar.com/my-account/downloads
2. Once updated, in your reply post your site’s complete, un-edited system information using the “Sharing information manually” steps outlined in this article: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/
3. Once updated, in your reply please also summarize what issues remain that are not related to “Category colors”.
Thanks!

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
