I want to ask you question related to this feature mentioned on the events ticket plus sales page:

“Limit how many tickets of a given type are available, share stock between ticket types, or allow unlimited attendees”

    What I want to do:
I want to sell both an early bird priced ticket (that lets folks choose to purchase/reserve an event ticket with just a deposit amount) and a regular priced ticket.
The regular priced ticket and Early Bird tickets will go on sale the same date.

However, I will set the early bird ticket sale date to expire x number of days prior to the event but the regular priced tickets won’t expire until the day of the event.

If the early bird and regularly priced tickets share stock does this mean that when the early bird ticket sale is over, the early bird stock numbers will be added to the regularly priced tickets?

    Hi Hannah,

Thanks for checking out our plugins!

I think a screenshot of the ticket creation form will help clear things up here. You can see in the screenshot that you have the option to Enable global stock, which will let you set a cap on the total number of tickets sold for that event. Then, for each individual ticket, you can choose whether or not you want that ticket to use the global stock, use the global stock but also have another cap just on that ticket, or be independent and not use global stock at all (see this screenshot). Basically using global stock means that it will count against the total number of tickets available for the event each time a ticket is sold.

Regarding ticket expiration, you can set start sale and end sale dates individually for each ticket, so you can have sales for your early bird ticket end early.

And regarding your last question about early bird ticket sales impacting the global stock after the sale has ended – with global stock enabled on the early bird tickets, each sale would count against the global stock right away.

Finally, I do want to mention that we offer a full refund within 30 days of purchase, so feel free to test it out and see if it will work for you! Please let me know if you have any other questions.

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics.
