I upgraded to Events Calendar Pro 4.4.20
After the update my posts and evenst are showing the oldest first…
Before it used to be most recent post/events first.I went back to the previous version 4.4.19, and obviously then everything was in the right order (most recent post/events first).
Could you fix that bug?
Thanks,
GuyDecember 19, 2017 at 2:24 pm #1409214BrendanKeymasterHi Guy,
Thanks for email support and informing us of a possible issue.
It appears there may be a conflict with one of your plugins.
Can you also try testing for conflicts with your theme and other plugins? If you would prefer not to do this on your live site, WP Staging< will let you create a quick copy of your live site that you can use for testing. Let me know what you find!
Thanks,

I just created a staging version of my website in Flywheel (my hoster) but got this message:
You have a license key for The Events Calendar PRO but the key is out of installs. Visit the Events Calendar website to manage your installs, upgrade your license, or purchase a new one.
What next?

Its okay that you have the message, that just means you cannot upgrade it. The calendar will still function for you.
Thanks,

I tested all the plugins and themes on a staging site, and the problem
is still there. It seems not a conflict with plugin or theme…
So the problem seems related to the Events Calendar, please check again
at your end, there is some kind of bug. Please inform me if you have an update.

The release is stable but I do agree it seems to be an issue with the plugin. So, lets do this.Completely remove the plugin. Just go into wp-admin > plugins and delete it. This will keep your settings intact because database is still there.
Then reinstall a fresh copy.
Let me know how that goes.
Thanks,
BrendanDecember 23, 2017 at 2:40 am #1412163websParticipantHi Brendan,
You mean The Events Calendar Pro or The Events Calendar or both?
December 23, 2017 at 5:05 am #1412169websParticipantHi Brendan,
In meantime, I deactivated and deleted both plugins. Re-installed both plugins, but problem is still there.
What next?

Please enable WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG (which will create a file on your server at /wp-content/debug.log if there are any WP_DEBUG messages) and share any debug messages you see while trying to replicate this issue and doing other things on your site relevant to this ticket.
Send me what errors you are receiving and also I would completely remove the EA plugin and reinstall it before doing this just in case there is a corrupted file.
Thanks,

I am not a developer, and honestly I am stuck… please give me some better advice or help.
Again my questions, I would appreciate that you answer those:
1) What is the EA plugin?
2) How to proceed?I already deactivated each plugin, piece by piece,
with no result. Same with theme. If I upgrade to the latest version of The Events Calendar Pro, my posts and evenst are showing the oldest first… which is not oké.
Thanks,
GuyJanuary 12, 2018 at 9:53 pm #1425394BrendanKeymasterHi Guy,
Let me answer these questions
- EA is our event aggregator plugin where you import events from a csv file, facebook, meetup, etc.
- Upgrading to the latest version should not adjust the order. Do you have any customizations on your site in regards to restructuring the order?
Thanks,
BrendanJanuary 13, 2018 at 6:08 am #1425468websParticipantHi Brendan,
EA is The Events Calendar plugin in other words.
There are no customizations that change the order.
Everything was working fine, the only change was the upgrade tot the latest version, which changed the order. Please find a solution, my first messag was from 19th december, almost 4 weeks later and still no solution.
