    Hello,

    We are having trouble with the events calendar duplicating events and we are not able to delete them. Please see the link below for an example as to what is happening.

    The event X-Fit 6am should only appear once. However as you can see on Thursday the 4th it has 41 instances. The same is true for the rest of the month as well.

    When I try to delete one of them it takes me to a 404 page and doesn’t delete the event.

    Please help asap.

    This definitely sounds like a frustrating issue to be having here. Let’s get to the bottom of this one.

    A couple of quick questions to help us here:

    • Were the events created in WordPress or were they imported from somewhere else?
    • Does this only seem to happen with recurring events or is it happening with all events?
    • You mention you aren’t able to delete these events, are you able to delete posts of other post types (posts or pages) without issue on your site?
    • Have you tried following the Testing for Conflicts procedures to ensure there isn’t a conflict occurring here with another plugin or your active theme?

    Thanks for getting back to me, Please see my answers next to your questions.

    Does this only seem to happen with recurring events or is it happening with all events? – recurring, but really just one event. (6am X-fit)

    You mention you aren’t able to delete these events, are you able to delete posts of other post types (posts or pages) without issue on your site? – Yes, I am able to delete post and pages.

    Have you tried following the Testing for Conflicts procedures to ensure there isn’t a conflict occurring here with another plugin or your active theme? – No, the site is currently live and I didn’t want to take the site down. I may be able to schedule some down time but I would rather not.

    Hey Tyler,

    Thanks for following up here.

    For situations like these, we typically can find a root conflict when deactivating other plugins or the existing theme and can work from there. If you’re able to take those steps it will definitely help.

    A couple further questions here in the meantime:

    • Are you able to delete other events that don’t duplicate?
    • Would you be able to send us a database dump as well as the system information from the “help” tab within the event settings as a private reply here?
