am using a WordPress site with The Event Calendar Plugin for my client’s website and the site loads perfectly with no issue.

But when i check the site with https://gtmetrix.com/ I get this error.

The following requests are returning 404/410 responses. Either fix the broken links, or remove the references to the non-existent resources.

After Google for some time i tried with http://www.brokenlinkcheck.com/ and it gives me this error.

Failed to connect to http://www.ira-upskills.com/ with HTTP Response code 404. If the domain name above is correct and your website is up then possibly

I set the theme back to default Twenty Fifteen and still i get the same error.

I try contacting the hosting service and they have no idea.

    Can anyone help me?

Hi Caroline, thanks for your reply.

We have also created a new wordpress in a separate domain just to make sure that it is not the domain or any other issue, but still the 404 error in GTMatrix and could not able to read this site. We have tried one of our own site (that does not have The Event Calendar) and it works. I am not sure what is causing the issue. But iam pretty much sure it must be a minor mistake which we cannot able to see. I have tried in WordPress.org form and Stack flow, but none seem to respond with the solution. If i am the one getting this, then it must be a simple mistake.

We have contacted the hosting provider they seem to getting the same and they are saying there is nothing in the page, its empty.

The client wanted to test the plugin before buying it so we are using the free version, but soon we might purchase the full version because he want to have a full online payment through his event.

    Conflict testings.
Step 1) Switch to the Twenty Sixteen theme.
Yes, we tried with all default WordPress theme, and still the page shows 404 error.

Step 2) Disable all plugins except Tribe Events plugins.
Yes, We do not have more plugins and we switch to default WordPress theme and disabled all plugins and tested one by one, when we switch to The event Calendar the 404 error came.

Step 3) Clear your browser cache, and retest.
    Yes, Multiple times we tried.

    Thanks Caroline,
I have already posted in the wordpress.org forum (https://wordpress.org/support/topic/the-event-calender-plugin-avoid-bad-requests-am-i-the-only-one-facing-this-is/). Just now i saw, and Bary replied to the thread.

Because i did not get any mail notification, i thought no one responded.
    Thanks Caroline.

    Hi Sanjeev,

Oh no, I’m so sorry for the trouble there! Glad to hear that things are moving along over on WordPress.org, though–please don’t hesitate to follow up over there if you should have any other questions on concerns! 🙂

Since this conversation has been moved over to our other forums, I’m going to go ahead and close this thread out, if that’s alright! Thanks again, and please don’t hesitate to open a new thread if there’s anything else we can do to assist!
