ParticipantGoodmorning,
we need urgently need help.
We noticed that the event calendar pro and ticket plus (updated with the latest release) are slowing down worpdress in an impressive way. The server has got great performance and system administrator noticed that there are scripts that generate high spikes use of cpu and ram.
This cause a terrible slow down of wordpress and we cannot continue like that. We need Your wonderful plugins but You gotta definitely fix it.
Could You please help us to solve this issue??
Warm regards

ParticipantI am noticing the same issues, site load times are horrible since the update and I am seeing slow query warnings left and right! My site is taking anywhere from 5-40 seconds to load.

MemberHi, Alessandro.
Sorry you’re having these issues. It looks like you have the “The Events Calendar PRO: Cleanup recurring events” plugin already running. I assume you already used and ran that tool and that you believe there are no more “runaway” recurring events.
If you have some specific things to point us to, I can pass those on to our developers. Now would be a good time, as we are planning to target performance issues in future updates.
You could also contact Donald Grover from https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/find-a-customizer/ if you’d like assistance with overall site performance.

Robert, please open a new thread of your own if the information above isn’t sufficient for your needs.
Thank you.

ParticipantHi all, I have the same issue (my “The Events Calendar PRO: Cleanup recurring events” is NOT active)
Since last update and since I’ve tried the new shortcodes to embed events in other pages, the site is VERY SLOW!
Can we confirm there’s not a problem with the latest (big) update?
Sorry and thanks

ParticipantGood afternoon,
it seems that other people found the same issue.
I didn’t find in reply (searching also in other similar post) a decisive and final answer.
What we gotta do now? I said before that if I disable Your plugin the server cpu/ram return in normal condition and wordpress is very very fast. Obviously is Calendar Pro and Tickets Plus the clue…
Someone could help us or we have to wish one day a fix about it?
We are in a big trouble with customer…. we have no idea what to say them…
Hope to receive some serious answer.
Warm regards

MemberAlessandro, one thing we’ve noticed is Month View can be pretty taxing, as Robert shared (in private replies) in his linked forum thread with Query Monitor.
Here are some ideas to try:
- try loading non-events related things, like Pages and Posts (without any event widgets or shortcodes on the page, header, sidebar, footer, etc)
- wp-admin > Events > Settings > Display tab > check the “Enable the Month View Cache” box
- totally disable the Month View and set your default view to List or something else (also make sure not to have any month view widgets on your site)
If these don’t help your site’s situation, it could be something else going on. Let me know how things go for you.

Pau, I didn’t quite understand your questions fully, but please create your own separate thread with your site details and specific issues.
Thanks!

ParticipantGood evening Cliff,
ok I followed what You suggest, but not only nothing change but with query monitor Also You can notice that here we got a big big problem with Your plugin. I’ve attached here duplicate query (image1.jpg) relative to the home page where THERE IS NOTHING ABOUT Calendar or Tickets and a worrying error in the backend – plugin list to be accurate – (??!!) about event aggregator… (image2.jpg).
Really don’t know what to do…whatta think…If You could help us will be appreciate .
Regards

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
