I am wanting taxes charged on this ticket price, it it charging them from my desktop computer but not my mobile how can I fix that?
Also, is there a way to have the plugin display the tax as a ‘fee’ instead of ‘tax’ ?

KeymasterHi Kellsey,
Thanks for reaching out to us! I’d be happy to help you 🙂
Do you mean taxes are charged when you buy a ticket from a desktop, but not from a mobile?
And what do you mean by display the tax as a ‘fee’ instead of ‘tax’?
Also, you might find some useful resources in this article: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/woocommerce-and-vat-taxes/

KeymasterHi Kellsey,
Thank you for the clarification.
To display the tax as a “fee” instead of “tax”, you can use a plugin such as Say What. Once the plugin is activated, add a new “Text change”. For “Original string”, you will enter “tax”. For “Text domain”, “event-tickets-plus”. And for “Replacement string”, “fee”.
Regarding your main issue, there might be some new updates available. Could you please make sure all your plugins (and WordPress core) are at their latest versions?
Once you verify you’re on the latest versions, please test to see if the issue is still happening for you.
If it is, please follow our Testing for Conflicts Guide (basically switch to Twenty Seventeen theme and deactivate all plugins and custom code other than Modern Tribe plugins) and see if that helps narrow down the cause of this.
If it doesn’t, please enable WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG (which will create a file on your server at /wp-content/debug.log if there are any WP_DEBUG messages) and share any debug messages you see while trying to replicate this issue and doing other things on your site relevant to this ticket (such as visiting your site’s home page, events page, single-event pages, and anything else you can think to do).
Then, please re-share your System Information (while in Testing for Conflicts Mode) in a Private Reply. That will give me a lot of extra information to help troubleshoot this.
You might also see if you can spot any console errors at your site. (If needed, you may reference our KB article Using Google Chrome Developer Tools.)
Let us know what you find out.

ParticipantSorry I miss wrote at the top there. I am having two separate issues. 1 is that add event page is giving an link is expired error not allowing the public to add events.
but the one I am concerned with here is that taxes are not charged on mobile devices, only on desktopAugust 29, 2018 at 6:38 am #1608693Jeremy
KeymasterHi Kellsey,
Thank you for your System Information.
Since you can’t make use of a staging site to test things there, you may consider using a plugin like Plugin Detective and/or Health Check, each of which provide a troubleshooting mode that aims to ensure your site will continue to operate as normal for regular visitors.
Regarding your other issue (the public can’t add new events), you may create a new thread so that it would be easier for us to help you.
Please let me know how it goes with Plugin Detective and/or Health Check.
Cheers,
