ParticipantHi, I’ve just purchased a license for Events Calendar PRO and the Filtering add-on – running on https://www.asoundeffect.com/audio_events/ – and in the Chrome inspector, I’m seeing an Uncaught SyntaxError: Unexpected token &, lots of debug data (even though debugging is disabled) and a NoApiKeys warning and MissingKeyMapError from Google Maps (I’ve disabled maps support in Events Calendar.
The errors can be seen by opening the inspector on the https://www.asoundeffect.com/audio_events/ page
How can these be resolved?Thanks,

KeymasterHello Asbjoern,
Thanks for using our plugins and welcome to the forums!
I checked the url you provided with the chrome console on and only saw an error for the google maps api. I’ not quite sure what you mean by disabling the maps support, but the easiest way to get rid of that is to get an API key.
I didn’t find any other issues. Might be that some of them are coming from some plugins or the theme you are using. To find that out you can follow our conflict testing guide.
Let me know if this helps.
Cheers,

ParticipantHi Andras, thanks for the reply! I’ve deselected the ‘Enable Google Maps’ option, so I was expecting this to disable any Map calls/API calls being loaded? I’m also still seeing lots of ‘TEC Debug: Browser and events settings information:’ in the inspector, which I wouldn’t expect when debugging is disabled in the plugin. Any idea why?
Thanks,

KeymasterHi Asbjoern,
I’m really sorry for my late reply. Somehow this thread flew below my radar. I’ll pay more attention to it as of now.
I just checked on my local install, I deselected the Google Maps thingy, and I stopped getting the message in the console. I’m running the latest version of the calendar plugins.
Can you check whether you are still getting it with the latest versions? If yes, where? Can you share a screenshot?
…when debugging is disabled in the plugin
I take it you are referring to Events > Settings > General tab > Misc section > Debug mode.
That setting is not connected to the browser console in any way.
I can check for you if and how it is possible to get rid of the “TEC Debug: Browser and events settings information:”, though as the title of it says, that is just information, nothing more. These are not errors.
Let me know about the google maps message and I’ll check this other one meanwhile.

KeymasterHello again,
I checked and found out the following:
That setting I mentioned above is not influencing the console output.
There is a ticket already in our system to include a new setting where you can switch this on or off, or control it with “SCRIPT_DEBUG()” in the wp-config.php file.

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!

MemberHi Asbjoern!
Just wanted to share with you that a new release of our plugins is out, in which the console messages will be hidden by default and should show up once the Debug mode setting is enabled in your WP Admin > Events > Settings > General Tab under the Miscellaneous Settings
Find out more about this release → https://theeventscalendar.com/release-event-tickets-4-8-event-tickets-plus-4-8/
We apologize for the delay and appreciate your patience while we worked on this.
As always, we suggest to setup a dev/staging site so you can make all plugin updates without disrupting the live site.
Please update the plugins and don’t hesitate to reach out to us if anything comes up.
Best,
Victor -
