ParticipantAfter editing the a ticket in WooCommerce the price is changed from say $1.00 to “Suggested Price: $0”. The conflict IS indeed an additional plugin that I use for donations called “Name Your Price” in which the purchaser enters however much they desire. Is there any work around for this conflict between WooTickets and Name Your Price?

MemberI’m afraid I’m not familiar with Name Your Price – but what is it that you want to happen? Do you want tickets to be “immune” from that plugin’s effects, or is it that you want it to work with it but it isn’t meshing nicely?

ParticipantWell basically I would like them to play nice with each other. I would really like that plugin so user can enter a “specific” price for donations, however we also sell tickets for events/conference hence Event Calendar and WooTickets. Basically what happens is if I create an event and a ticket with (Name Your Price) enabled all works just fine. However when I go to edit the ticket in WooCommerce as opposed to “Event Calendar” section and then save that ticket. The “Suggested Price: $0” takes over although I never selected the “Name Your Price” option button that the plugin installed (if that makes sense). Once the ticket is edited in WooCommerce with that plugin enabled the price that it was set to disappears and is replaced with “Suggested Price: $0”. Ultimately, I need the ticket function more than the name your price so I can disable it and life will go out, but I’ll be out the $30 I paid for the plugin essentially, as it will be rendered useless. But yes, the perfect world would be somehow they play nice with each other. 😀 Not sure if that is even possible.

MemberI’m not sure either, really, but I’m afraid I don’t think that is something we are going to be able to help with. Perhaps you could reach out to the developers of Name Your Price?

ParticipantI am going to do that as well, however I have the sneaking suspicion they will say exactly what you just said. 🙂

MemberThat’s possible, but on the other hand they may provide some clue about how their plugin works and what information it is looking for here – in which case feel free to post here again and we can see if that gives us anything we can work with.

MemberHi luigilibet – you’re also experiencing issues with Name Your Price?
Although we can’t make any promises, if one of you was to share a download link to the plugin (which you can do using our private reply feature – just upload the plugin in .zip format to a service like Dropbox, Droplr or even your WordPress site then post the link in here) one of us may be able to take a look and see if there is an easy fix.
Again, I can’t promise we’ll have the time or resources to do that since this is a particularly busy time, but if the code’s available to us and we have bandwidth then we can certainly try.
Cheers!

ParticipantI went to the WooThemes who sold and helps support the plugin and asked them about it. Supposedly someone is looking into it. They asked me for all my login creds and server info. I asked for a status update yesterday, but nothing yet. It’s been over a week without contact. My customer’s site is basically in limbo. :/ Anyway, any help or guidance is greatly appreciated! The following is the plugin files for Name Your Price.
[Thanks for providing the link: we’ve now removed it in order to be good neighbours to the plugin authors — Barry]

MemberThanks: I’ll definitely take a look at this but just to make you aware I have no more availability until early next week. It’s possible another team member might be able to step in but if not (and especially since this is a conflict with third party code rather than a bug as such with our own code) it might be Tue/Wed next week before I can take this up again.
Apologies for any inconvenience that causes.

MemberOK. So if I install and activate that plugin I don’t actually see this problem … I’m not sure if it exists only within the WooCommerce product editor itself or there is some other facet I’m unaware of – but unfortunately we don’t really have bandwidth to spend more time on this one.
Hopefully you can get a solution from the WooThemes team or else directly from the author – but I’m afraid on this occasion we will need to bow out.

Memberbmitchellini, do Barry’s suggestions here help get you where you need to be? Let us know!

ParticipantUhm, unfortunately no. In fact at this point it’s kind of a disaster. I have a customer who wants WooTickets and wants to use Name Your Price. WooThemes ppl said they are looking into it but it’s been almost two weeks heard nothing. I’m also having an issue with Events Calendar Google Maps which I have a separate ‘thread’ going for that one. Now, I just about 15 minutes ago updated to the latest WooTickets and Event Calendar and now I don’t have any tickets showing up in the pages whatsoever. So basically things are digressing. :/ I was thinking of making a video of what “was” going on, but now this other issue cropped up as I have tickets in the admin but do show up on the front end. At this point I’m not sure what to do.

ParticipantI suppose it is possible that with maybe all kinds of people being logged in my site and looking at theses various issues could be cancelling each other out and magnifying or creating more problems. Hence they “I can’t replicate the issue” and the like responses. At this point, I’m not sure if I should just delete everything and start over or what to do.
