I’m hoping to “subscribe” to our Calendar using an iCal feed. Currently, I am only able to download a .ICS file which is a snapshot of the calendar. I’d prefer a realtime feed that I can view in my Outlook (or iphone) using the webcal://sitename.com interface.

Also, seems like there used to be a “Week” view – now I only see Month, Day and List…

If you create a link that changes the URI for adding to iCal from ‘http://’ to ‘webcal://’ and add that link via setting HTML after post, or whatever it is, then you will have a subscription.

You can add something like the following to Events > Settings > Display at the bottom in HTML after content.
    subscribe to example.com iCalendar feed

Nope. I tried opening that link with Outlook and I get an error message:
“The file “ical” is not a valid Internet Calendar file.”
Then I tried opening the link using Notepad and I get an empty file. So that link doesn’t seem to work for us.

Can you provide an actual link to your calendar?

As an example I did this on my site. Look to the ‘Subscribe to Feed’ link at http://tribe.thefragens.net/events

Clicking n this link should ask you if you wish to subscribe to the calendar, at least in
    Apple’s world.

Following from Andy’s question, is the URL in question the one you shared when you opened this thread? If so, it seems you’ve “protected” it by ensuring the user logs in before the see whatever page or resource they are requesting.

    Might that be impacting?

Hi! It’s been a while so I’m going to go ahead and close this thread. If we can help with anything else, though, please don’t hesitate to create new threads as needed. Thanks!
