ParticipantHi,
Since the last update of the EC plugins, I have started noticing some strange behaviour on the calendar month view page My calendar Page
When hovering or clicking on a event sometimes it duplicates the same event multiple times within the same block. There is also some code now being shown with the entry.
This behaviour also doesn’t reflex a tooltip but just a expanded window of the event.
Any assistance would be appreciated.
Cheers
James

ParticipantHey James,
Sorry to see this! This is a result of a code conflict, likely from your theme. It could be from another plugin, but is usually caused by the theme.
I would recommend doing the troubleshooting steps in the following article → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/testing-for-conflicts/
After EACH STEP in that process, go back to your month view and try to recreate BOTH issues you reported here. Do things improve anywhere along the way in that process?
This process will confirm where the code conflict is coming from, and we can go from there.

ParticipantHi George,
Thanks for getting back to me on this.
I did what you suggested and went back to the default theme, twenty sixteen, and it didn’t fix it. I then deactivated all the plugins except the EC plugins and reactivated each plugin one at a time and checked to see which if any was causing the problem.
Turns out it was the W3 Total Cache plugin causing the problem, which was updated about a week ago, and that’s when the strange behaviour stated.
As my website is hosted with Synthesis, they have special settings they apply to this plugin, I will contact them and ask them to reset the plugin and see if it fixes the problem. Otherwise I may need you, if possible to help resolve the problem.
I’ll let you know how I get on George before asking you to close this thread.
Cheers

ParticipantHey James,
Thanks for doing that testing and reporting these findings.
What might be the main cause of issues here is minification in your site’s W# Total Cache settings. I would recommend heading to your W3 Total Cache settings and looking for any settings there that refer to “minifying” or “compressing” scripts and stylesheets on your site.
If you find any such settings, make sure they are OFF.
Does this help at all?
Thanks,

ParticipantHi George,
I uninstalled the W3 Total Cache plugin and reinstalled a fresh copy and used the settings Synthesis provided and all is good now! 🙂
Thanks for your assistance, as it turned out to be be what you said, a minifying issue.
Go ahead and close this thread George, as all seems good now.
Cheers
