ParticipantHello,
I checked other threads regarding this issue and found out that (https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/receiving-sorry-key-validation-server-is-not-available-error/). Also
– “The license key is not needed for the plugin to work it is only needed for automatic updates.”
The Plugin works but not the Aggregator.– “You could wait to try and activate the license once the site is live.”
The site is lifeI should mention that our server is only reachable with ssh. But normally this problem should not have something to do with our server, more with yours, right?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

MemberHi Nils,
I’m sorry to hear that.

It depends: it’s possible that your server is configured to block access to remote services such as our key server. Could you share your website’s URL (by private reply if you prefer)?
I should mention that our server is only reachable with ssh.
Just to clarify, do you mean it is reachable only via SSL (ie, using the HTTPS protocol), or something more exotic?

ParticipantOK – and is anything configured that might block outbound communication with other IPs?
– can you provide your server name / port or how is your communication done?If you visit the Events → Help screen and scroll down to the Event Aggregator System Status section, what does the import services server connection status read as?
– Not connected to https://ea.theeventscalendar.com/ The server is not currently responding
Greetings

Does that help?

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
