Hi,
Thinking about buying PRO version, I’m first trying to make simple Events Calendar plugin working properly.
Then I would like to receive some answers :
– The correct translation of event in French is “événement”. How could it be possible to correct this in the “Tribe events page title” as well as in the Widget (“Voir tous les événements” instead of “Voir tous les évènements”) ?
– How is it possible to modify colors of the Month calendar. I’ve tried a hundred ties and the title of the week’s days remain with black background
– Can you help for this : from the widget, the links to events are working well on some pages but not at all on some others. Both pages are built in the same way and have then the same config settings.

Actually, as it turns out, I am a native french speaker as well.
As it turns out “évènement” and “événement” are both valid.<span id=”.C3.89v.C3.A9nement_ou_.C3.A9v.C3.A8nement_.3F” class=”mw-headline”>Événement ou évènement ?</span>
Dès la troisième édition de son dictionnaire (1740), l’Académie française indique l’orthographe <i>événement</i>. Lors de la septième édition (1878), l’Académie a rectifié l’accentuation de plusieurs mots pour suivre l’évolution phonétique de la langue : ainsi, <i>collége</i> et <i>avénement</i> ont été changés en <i>collège</i> et <i>avènement</i>. Toutefois, quelques mots, dont <i>événement</i>, n’ont pas été rectifiés, et cette orthographe est toujours utilisée au <abbr class=”abbr” title=”21ᵉ siècle”><span class=”romain”>xxi</span><sup>e</sup></abbr> siècle<sup id=”cite_ref-.C3.A9v.C3.A8nement_acad.C3.A9mie_fran.C3.A7aise_1-0″ class=”reference”>1</sup>.
Le Rapport de 1990 sur les rectifications orthographiques préconise la régularisation de tels mots<sup id=”cite_ref-2″ class=”reference”>2</sup>, et les dictionnaires, dès la fin du <abbr class=”abbr” title=”20ᵉ siècle”><span class=”romain”>xx</span><sup>e</sup></abbr> siècle, encouragent l’orthographe <i>évènement</i>, quoique l’autre orthographe soit aussi mentionnée<sup id=”cite_ref-3″ class=”reference”>3</sup><sup class=”reference cite_virgule”>,</sup><sup id=”cite_ref-4″ class=”reference”>4</sup><sup class=”reference cite_virgule”>,</sup><sup id=”cite_ref-5″ class=”reference”>5</sup>. Toutefois ce rapport n’a jamais été entériné dans sa globalité par l’Académie française, bien au contraire. Celle-ci accepte toutefois la graphie <i>évènement</i>, mais estime que <span class=”citation”>« la graphie ancienne <i>événement</i> n’est cependant pas considérée comme fautive, encore que rien ne la justifie plus »</span><sup id=”cite_ref-.C3.A9v.C3.A8nement_acad.C3.A9mie_fran.C3.A7aise_1-1″ class=”reference”>1</sup>. Les recommandations orthographiques de 1990, dont fait partie <i>évènement</i>, sont enseignées dans la plupart des pays de la francophonie, dont, notamment, la Suisse, la Belgique et le Canada, bien qu’en France et dans les pays francophones d’Afrique elles soient moins populaires<sup id=”cite_ref-6″ class=”reference”>6</sup>.

You can also try using different options under Events -> Settings -> Display for Default stylesheet used for events templates

Thank you for your answer.
As you are french native, nous pouvons continuer en français… 🙂
Le problème est que mon client est très attaché à l’écriture du mot événement avec é.
Or le client est roi, donc…
J’ai également reçu une réponse de Cliff du support qui suggérait la méthode expliquée dans le document “Change the wording of any bit of text or string”.
J’ai donc pu remplacer le “è” par un “é”.
Il reste le problème de l’affichage de “Voir tous les Evénements” dans le widget.
Je ne parviens pas à remplacer cette string. Or ce E majuscule n’est bien sûr pas correct non plus !
Toute aide simple et rapide est la très bienvenue (j’ai peu de temps et ne connais rien de rien à la problématique de traduction dans WordPress).
Les deux derniers problèmes ont été résolus.Un tout grand merci d’avance.

I’m sorry to say Geoff is not available right now, however I understand Cliff has given you some guidance on replacing pieces of text generally, which should complement the instructions Geoff already provided a little earlier.

Je ne parviens pas à remplacer cette string.In fact, you can! It is possible to override the template and change the string directly. You could also change the string itself (“View All %s”) using any of the techniques Geoff outlined in his previous reply or via a plugin such as Say What.
Last but not least, though I appreciate you wish to resolve these problems prior to purchasing Events Calendar PRO, we can’t really provide ongoing technical assistance here in the pre-sales forum.
Instead, for any further technical guidance that you might need, please do post in our translations forum or the community forum over at wordpress.org (once you purchase a license, of course, the team will be delighted to help via our premium forums).
