We noticed around 420 soft 404 errors in Google Webmaster Tools today. Did you guys ever end up fixing the 404 issues mentioned in past threads?
Example:
We did do a large amount of work re 404s but the fact is more needs to be done – and we’re actively investigating the best path forward, particularly with regards to soft 404s.
All I can really suggest is bearing with us as I’m confident we’ll be able to roll out further tweaks and improvements over the next few release cycles.
Right now we’re still considering different options and have (since your last post) been progressing other areas of the plugin – so I’m afraid I’ve got nothing further to share at this time with regards to 404s or handling of soft 404s in particular.
Hi! It’s been a while so I’m going to go ahead and close this thread. If we can help with anything else, though, please don’t hesitate to create new threads as needed. Thanks!
