Slug issue when switching between list and month.

Hi,

I am experience a strange problem when switching between list and month view using the tribe top bar.
The slug gets translated (to local language) instead of using events/month/ and events/list/ .
month and list slug is working correctly but the translated ones is not.

I am not using WPML.

Could it be connected to the translation files that comes with the event calendar?
It sometimes also happens when I just reload the page.
If I am located at /events/month/ it sometimes redirects to events/månad/ which is the swedish translation.

I also noticed language problems when displaying the month headers in the list view.
First time a load the list view they are displayed in swedish if I then select a date and the page reloads they are displayed in english.

As I said previously I am only interested in using one language. Is there a way to remove all other lang files then the swedish one?

After some more investigation I noticed that the slug changes(from english to swedish) as soon as either select a new date or apply any filter. That’s why I thought that it was happening on reload but the url had already changed and when hitting refresh it tried to load the swedish slug which does not work.

In the meantime, I would recommend re-saving your permalinks and temporarily clearing and deactivating all caching plugins you might have.

Thank you for writing back and for the info.
As you suggested, based on your specific issue, you might want to make sure that the slugs for the different views do not get translated (month, list, photo, map, day, week, all).

I highly recommend reading the 3 following articles on translation:

• https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/incomplete-translations/

That should enable you to adjust your language files to prevent slug translation.
Make sure you update the language files for both the Events Calendar and the Events Calendar Pro.

As I said previously I am only interested in using one language. Is there a way to remove all other lang files then the swedish one?

Even if you removed all other language files, the default will always revert back to english.

One way around that would be to create fake en_US.po and en_US.mo language files that are in reality copies of the swedish language files.

That would “trick the system”.
