ParticipantHi folks
Following up on the support issue here:
https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/showing-wrong-end-date/
We are having to do quite a few workarounds on dates to compensate, and subsequent push back from the client. Can you give me a time frame for when this will be fixed? Thanks

ParticipantHey @onelittlemoose,
I’m sorry that issues are persisting! What versions of the Tribe plugins are you currently running?
Also, is this happening with many events, or is it only with a select few events that might have similar characteristics (like being all-day events, for example)?
Thank you!

ParticipantThanks George.
It occurs on multi-day events, where “all day event” is checked. If I have an event set to run all day from, for example, February 13 to 14, once it is published it shows it as February 13 to 15, which is of course wrong. On events that are more than 2 days long I can “fake” it, but on a 2 day event, the dates are wrong no matter what.
Examples:
This site shows the event As Feb 13 – 15, even though it is set in the admin to Feb 13 – 14 If I set it to Feb 13, all day, then it shows as a one day event on Feb 13.Separate site and example:
The visitor sees the dates as March 19 to 27. In reality, the admin is set to March 19 to 26, all day event.October 16, 2015 at 1:45 pm #1015431Norine Leibel

ParticipantThank you for sharing all of this!
We just discovered this as a bug, and are working on a fix for our next release. If you set the End of Day Cutoff option to its default 12am, do things work correctly? If so, is it a workable solution to use that as the end-of-day cutoff for the time being until our bug fix is released?
I’m so sorry about this, @onelittlemoose – the bug is an odd one related to timezones and such but we’re working on a solution!

ParticipantThanks, George.
That seems to have done the trick for now.
If it’s a timezone bug, I wonder if it has something to do with the fact our particular timezone does not practice daylight savings?
Do keep me posted on a fix.
🙂

ParticipantI’m glad that changing the end-of-day cutoff keeps things barely working for now – I’m sorry you have to do this, and that we didn’t catch this bug earlier, but we are working on a fix and you’ll indeed be made aware of the fix if and when it finally comes out. We note all such changes in the “changelog” of the plugin readme files, so when an update is “announced” in your wp-admin dashboard, read the release notes of the plugin and check out the plugin readme – if this fix is included, it’ll be noted there!
Thank you for your patience, @onelittlemoose. Stay tuned to plugin updates!
