Show ONLY first occurrence of recurring event in Upcoming Events widget

I am only showing first instance of recurring events per the TEC settings. However, I would like to exclude subsequent occurrences from the Upcoming Events widget once the first occurrence has passed (NOT show the next occurrence). Is this possible?

Thanks for using our plugins and welcome to the forums!

Out of the box that is not possible I’m afraid. A setting doesn’t exist for that.

Most probably it could be done with custom coding, however we are limited in doing customization like that.
