Shortcodes Not Working

I am using The Events Calendar plugin, and I am trying to place it on the home page of my website. I tried multiple different shortcodes and none of them are showing anything at all. Am I missing something?

Finally, there should be an option to make your homepage the calendar in wp-admin under Settings > Reading
